FAQs & Details of Services

If you’re not sure where to start or just want more information about what I offer or how I work, here is a bit more depth. Of course please reach out with questions or comments at any point (hi@roomsthatwork.co).

How do you help teams with problem solving?

We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

How do you help teams that can't make decisions (or are in wild disagreement)?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

What differentiates your style in the room?

I’ve been described as “chill but determined” which I took as a compliment at the time! ;) I pride myself on my friendly and relatively relaxed energy, and find that I can get along with most teams. I am not a cheerleader-type or a motivational speaker — if you’re looking for someone to hype your team, that’s not me. But if you want someone clear, kind, and candid, I could be a great fit.

The calmness in my style allows me to gently push on groups when they SAY they want to be open with each other but struggle in practice. I will often step into challenging topics and give the group permission to dive deeper if they want.

All sessions begin with the group setting our own ground rules. Part of my job is to model those ground rules throughout the session, so others understand how to really behave in the ways they say they want to.

Can you facilitate entire departments?

Yes! This is called Large Group Process Design and it’s something I’ve done a lot of, with a foundation in my education in organization development that many facilitators lack. Large groups are basically any group above 15 people, but I’ve facilitated up to 150 for participative events.

These events are so much fun for all involved, and take quite a bit more preparation and planning than the average meeting. It’s important that the space match the purpose of the meeting - if you want to gather ideas, for example, you need a lot of wall space for sticky notes and flip charts. If you want lots of small conversations, you need a space that allows groups to be separate enough to hear each other without yelling or disturbing other groups.

Additionally, depending on the size of the group, I may bring in another facilitator to help during the day — managing such large groups takes multiple hands to go smoothly. This could also be someone on your team if you’ve got someone who’s interested and qualified.
