Hi. I’m Emily.
Most teams get precious little time together in person. I think that time deserves to be thoughtful and meaningful.
In my work with companies of all shapes and sizes as a change management and organization development consultant, I found that the work was catapulted forward each time a team committed to being together in person. Perhaps controversially, I believe two days of a well-designed offsite often delivers more than a months-long consulting engagement. The difference is in what you do with the time.
Here's the catch: offsites need to be treated as the valuable time that they are. These are not occasions for forced corporate fun or one-way presentations. They are opportunities for your team to solve real problems, make real decisions, and tap into a kind of collective intelligence that rarely surfaces in day-to-day work. Co-creation is a type of magic — and it requires the right structure, the right environment, and someone whose only job is to keep you on track. My style in the room is direct and engaged — I take the work seriously without taking myself too seriously, and I've found that's often what gives people permission to do the same.
I've worked with leadership teams at some of the world's most recognized companies — including Starbucks, Salesforce, and Amazon — as well as mission-driven organizations like Sierra Club and Planned Parenthood. I hold a Master's degree in Organization Development and two change management certifications, and I bring that foundation to every room I walk into.
But credentials aside: I got into this work because I believe that what happens when people are genuinely present with each other — focused, honest, and working toward something together — is one of the most powerful forces in any organization. I'm here to help you make the most of it.
